Whakamana Programme will provide a FREE 4 weeks training that can empower students with confidence, clarity, and purpose.

 

Upon completion of the programme, every graduate will receive a Certificate in Workplace Preparation and Intercultural Studies, and will be supported into on-the-job training, employment, and next steps.

Programme Outline

WORKPLACE PREPARATION

 

  • Career development - CV, Cover Letter, Job search & Interview training

  • Strengths Finder

  • Key life skills - budgeting, insurance, housing, time management

  • The hiring process - Interviews, Health & Safety, Contracts, Employment

 

INTERCULTURAL STUDIES

 

  • Tikanga Maori experience

  • Diversity & Intercultural Awareness

  • Mental Wellness toolkit

  • Leaderfit

  • Nutrition & Health

I am not a New Zealand Resident or Citizen, can I do the programme?

Yes, you are welcome to apply.

Can I work part time and do the programme?

Yes, you can. The programme is from Monday to Thursday, 10am to 4pm for 4 weeks only.

How much is the cost for the programme?

The programme is FREE for non-residents, residents and citizens.
